My air fryer caught fire over a bag of frozen fries, not kidding

Tuesday night I tossed some fries in at 400 and walked away for 5 minutes. Next thing I know smoke is pouring out and the basket is glowing orange, my cat bolted so fast he left claw marks on the linoleum. Used a fire extinguisher, ruined the fryer and half my kitchen counter, anyone else had a small appliance turn into a disaster zone over something this dumb?

Gotta say, 400 might be a bit high for frozen fries. Most bags say to stick closer to 375 or 380, that extra heat can really push things over the edge. Glad you caught it before the whole kitchen went up lol.
