Why does nobody talk about how bad it feels when your car fails inspection over a 10 dollar bulb
Failed inspection at the Quick Lube on 3rd street last Friday because my brake light was out, and now I gotta waste Saturday morning fixing something I could've swapped in 2 minutes if they'd just let me do it in the lot.

Wait, are you saying they wouldn't let you just buy the bulb and swap it in the lot? That's literally insane, I used to roll my eyes at people complaining about inspection until that exact thing happened to me last month. Changed my whole view on it.

Caught me off guard too dude, I was pulling into the inspection place thinking it was a quick 10 minute thing and next thing I know they're failing me for a taillight that literally just flickered one time. I asked the guy if I could run to the AutoZone across the street and come right back and he looked at me like I asked to borrow his car for the weekend lmao. Had to pay the retest fee, drive out, swap the bulb in the parking lot, and sit through the whole line again. Total joke, I get why people complain now because it's not about safety it's about squeezing more time and money out of you.
