Woman at the laundromat on 9th in Boise told me to stop apologizing, and I have not stopped thinking about it
I was folding clothes next to her on Tuesday and I kept saying sorry every time my basket bumped hers, and she finally looked at me and asked who I was apologizing to. I said I did not know, and she said she did that for 6 years at her old job until a coworker asked her the same thing, and she wished somebody had said it sooner. So if you had a rough day and you keep saying sorry for stuff that is not your fault, that counts as a small win when you catch it. What is the weirdest thing a stranger has said to you that stuck around for days?
