My buttercream turned into soup during a wedding cake delivery last Saturday

I was driving 45 minutes to a venue in Oak Creek with a 3-tier cake, and the AC in my car gave out halfway there. By the time I arrived, the buttercream had softened so much it started sliding off the tiers like a waterfall. The bride saw it and just laughed, said it added 'character' to the design. Has anyone else had a temperature disaster mess up a decorated cake on the road?

Bride laughing off the buttercream waterfall just means she's never had to scrape a cake out of her car floorboards with a spatula at 10pm on a Saturday. Your cake turned into a lopsided abstract sculpture, which is honestly more artistic than most of the buttercream flowers I've seen on Pinterest. At least the venue didn't charge you extra for "performance art." Next time maybe toss a bag of ice on the passenger seat and call it a mobile fridge.
