So I tried to DIY a flour storage system and it's a mess lmao

I saw this idea online for a pull-out flour bin in my pantry. Got all the parts, started installing, and now flour is everywhere because I misaligned the hinges. My cat thinks it's a new playground, and I have to bake cookies covered in white dust. Lesson learned: measure twice, cut once, or just buy a container.

That saying is more about woodworking than installing hardware. Your problem was hinge alignment, not cutting anything wrong. Next time dry-fit everything and check the doors swing clear before you lock the screws down.

Why does everyone always say measure twice when half the time it's not even about the cuts? Karen_roberts4 nailed it with the hinge alignment thing. That's where most people mess up. You can cut a piece perfect, but if the hinges are even a little off, the whole door sits wrong. I've seen cabinet doors that looked fine until you tried to close them, or a fence gate that rubbed the post every single time. Always test the swing before you make anything permanent.

Ugh, been there - try again with a level, or just grab a plastic tub!
