TIL I was overmixing my scone dough for 6 months

I spent a good 4 hours watching YouTube tutorials to figure out why my scones came out like hockey pucks, and it turned out I was mixing for way too long, like 2 minutes instead of just 20 seconds, anyone else struggle with overworking dough?

I bet my first batch of cement scones would make great doorstops.

Did you actually try to eat one of those things before deciding they were doorstop material? Or did you know from the mixing bowl this batch was going sideways?
