My brisket caught fire at a competition in Kansas City

Last Saturday my brisket flare up during a KCBS event and I thought I was done. I grabbed a spray bottle with apple juice and hit the flames fast, but it still charred the outside. Has anyone else had a grease fire mess up their bark?

Spray bottle saved my brisket too, honestly.

Oh man, I mean it works great for keeping the bark from burning but I don't think it really adds moisture the way some people say it does.

Really feel for you man, grease fires are brutal and that's a tough break for sure.
