Wasted $60 on a fancy smoke tube that barely worked
I bought one of those stainless steel smoke tubes for cold smoking cheese, figuring it would be a game changer for $60. Thing barely held a flame for more than 20 minutes before dying out, even with dry pellets. Anyone else get burned by a gimmick gadget or is it just me?

That "barely held a flame" part got me thinking - have you checked if there's a draft in your workspace? I had the same problem until I realized my garage had a tiny breeze that was snuffing it out, and moving it to a corner fixed everything.

Wait... did you try different types of pellets though? Some of those cheaper pellets have too much sawdust that just smothers the flame right out. Had a buddy who swore by his smoke tube until he switched to a specific brand of competition pellets and suddenly it ran for 2 solid hours. What brand of pellets were you using in it?
