Hit 10,000 miles on my bicycle commute last month and it caught me off guard
I never track my cycling, just ride to work and back every day across Minneapolis. Last month my bike computer showed 10,042 miles total since I started in 2022. That number seemed small compared to what driving would be, but it's still a solid chunk of distance I wouldn't have guessed. Anyone else hit a random milestone that made you rethink your routine?

Yeah the knee thing is real, I actually had to swap my seatpost out for a shock absorbing one and it helped a ton. @juliashah, your knees will thank you if you get a proper fit at a bike shop before you put serious miles in.

I hit 8,000 miles on my Mustang last year and it made me furious. Driving in Minneapolis traffic is NOTHING compared to what you put in on a bike. 10,042 miles in two years is INSANE, man. That's like riding from here to LA and back with some spare change. You probably saved a ton on gas and parking, but I'd argue that's still a LOT of wear and tear on your body. My knees hurt just reading that number.
