Hot take: doing laundry at 2am is actually better than daytime
Last Tuesday my dryer broke mid-cycle at 11pm and I had to hang everything on shower rods in my tiny apartment. By morning my work shirts were still damp and I had to wear a hoodie to a closing meeting where the seller kept eyeing me weird.

Nah, 2am laundry is a rookie move. Daytime is for getting it done right.

You'd think 2am laundry would be peaceful but my neighbors clearly disagree since they chose that exact moment to start a screaming match about who ate the last frozen pizza. At least in the daytime you have the excuse of "sorry I'm just desperately trying to get stains out before work" instead of explaining why you're running a spin cycle during peak squirrel hours. Honestly the real hot take is that any laundry time sucks equally when you're just one broken machine away from wearing bath towels to important meetings.

rosebarnes nailed it honestly. The REAL hot take is that there are NO good laundry times, just different flavors of bad. Daytime you get the shame spiral of running into your neighbor while carrying a basket of underwear. 2am you get that weird paranoid feeling like you're doing something illegal even though it's just socks and a hoodie. And don't even get me STARTED on the midday weekend crowd where you have to wait for three different machines because nobody respects the 30 minute cycle anymore. At this point I'm convinced the only winning move is to just buy more underwear and push the problem off until NEXT week.
