I finally stopped trying to fold fitted sheets the old way

For years, I'd just roll them into a messy ball and shove them in the linen closet. Then my mom visited last month, saw the chaos, and said, 'Honey, that's a crime against laundry.' She showed me her method, which involves tucking the corners into each other like you're making a weird fabric envelope. It took me four tries to get it right without it looking like a crumpled napkin. Now my closet is weirdly peaceful, but does anyone have a faster trick that doesn't feel like solving a puzzle?

Honestly, this is a perfect example of how we accept small, daily chaos. We get so used to the messy ball of sheets, or the junk drawer, that we forget a simple system exists. Mastering that one little fold can make the whole room feel calmer.

Diana_black is right about the chaos but my sheets are basically a modern art sculpture at this point. The pillowcase hack sounds like a magic trick that only works on the internet. You spend twenty minutes wrestling with corners just to have it explode when you pull it out. My system is rolling everything into a sad ball and shoving it in the closet. Sometimes mastering the fold feels like learning a whole new language, and I barely speak laundry.

Heard a hack about folding them inside a pillowcase, but is that just more work?
