I thought my morning coffee stop was 5 minutes, so I timed it for a week and got a nasty surprise
I always told myself the coffee shop near my place in Portland was a quick 5 minute stop on the way to my desk. Last week I actually timed it with my phone, from the moment I locked my door to the moment I sat back in the car. The real number was 14 minutes on average, and 22 minutes on the day the card reader froze and the guy in front of me wanted a refund. I did it 5 mornings in a row and not one of them was under 11 minutes. I was basically giving away an hour of my week to a cup of coffee I drank cold at my desk anyway. Has anyone else actually clocked a routine they swore was fast, and what did the real number turn out to be?
