I used to think my morning coffee was just about the caffeine
For years, I'd slam a mug of instant stuff while checking my phone, barely tasting it. The moment came last Tuesday when my power went out for an hour. No internet, no phone charge, just me and the French press I never used. I ground some beans, waited for the water to cool a bit, and actually sat at the table. It tasted completely different, like a real thing I was doing, not just a thing I was getting. I realized the routine wasn't the problem; it was how I did it. I was treating the whole morning like a list to get through. Now I give it ten minutes with no screen. It's quiet. Has anyone else had a simple task change just by slowing it down?

That's interesting, but honestly the morning rush is real for me. Slowing down just isn't an option with my schedule.
