Morning coffee ritual used to be a chore, now it's my quiet time
About 2 years ago I switched from a drip machine to a simple pour over setup. The difference isn't just taste. It's the whole pace of my morning. With the drip machine I'd press a button and walk away, scrolling my phone. Now I stand there for 3 minutes, watching the water bloom the grounds, smelling it rise up. That quiet pause before the day starts feels more important than the coffee itself. Anyone else find a small routine change that shifted your whole outlook?

Wait, you're telling me you stood there watching coffee bloom for 3 minutes and didn't touch your phone the whole time? That's wild... I can barely do anything without looking at my screen these days.

That's really beautiful actually. I did something similar with my evening tea routine and it totally changed how I wind down at night. It's wild how slowing down one tiny thing can make you feel more human.
