My $12 brake bleeder blew a seal on I-80 near Laramie and I fixed it with a zip tie and a prayer
Two days ago I was hauling through Wyoming when the bleeder hose popped loose mid pedal bleed and sprayed fluid all over the wheel well. A driver named Marge at the TA in Laramie handed me a zip tie and said she'd done the same trick on her rig back in '09, so I clamped the hose, topped off the reservoir, and finished the bleed in 20 minutes flat. It held all the way to Cheyenne. Is there a real clamp anyone swears by, or am I fine running zip ties until the next oil change?
