My dad told me to always start my day with a walk, even just around the block.
He said it for years. I always brushed it off. Too busy. Too tired. Last month, I was just fried. Grading papers every night. Decided to try it for a week. Just ten minutes before my 7 AM bus. First day felt silly. By Friday, I noticed it. My head felt clearer walking into school. That short loop past the park on Elm Street just... reset me. Not a magic fix, but it carved out a quiet minute I didn't know I needed. Anyone else have a tiny routine change that actually stuck?

@ivan_mason Actually I think you meant to tag the original poster, not me (I'm Jordan). But totally agree about the phone thing, that's a solid habit too.

I always thought it was just old man advice, but a morning coffee without my phone really did the same thing.

Huh, interesting. I'm the total opposite @ivan_mason. My brain needs that scroll with my coffee to even boot up for the day.
