PSA: That one week in October where everything went right actually messed me up

Last fall I had a week where my morning commute hit 15 green lights in a row, my coffee was perfect every day, and I finished all my reports by 3 PM. It was like the universe decided to give me a break all at once. But then the next week hit and I got 3 flat tires in 5 days, my dog got sick, and I burned dinner twice. Made me wonder if those good weeks are actually a setup for the bad ones or just random luck. Has anyone else had a perfect week that made the next one feel worse?

Oh I felt that "setup for the bad ones" line so hard. After my perfect week I started subconsciously expecting everything to keep going smoothly, which made that crash back to reality feel way worse than if I'd just had an average couple weeks. Now I try to enjoy those good streaks without banking on them continuing, and I keep an emergency snack stash in my car for when things inevitably go sideways again.

That "emergency snack stash" is GENIUS I'm stealing that idea immediately.

Dude is it really that deep tho? Like yeah that sucks but you're just describing normal life being up and down. Seems like you're overthinking a bad week.
