Rant: That clogged drain took 4 days to fix, not 2 hours

Started with a slow kitchen sink in my rental in Cleveland. Plumber said simple snake job, but the pipe was cast iron from 1962 and cracked under pressure. Total mess, had to dig out the wall, replace 8 feet of pipe, ended up costing $1,400 and my whole weekend. Has anyone else had a 'quick fix' that turned into a full demolition project?

Feel for you, that's a nightmare. My bathroom sink ended up being a full wall tear-out too, so I know that awful feeling of watching the bill climb all weekend.
