Spent 3 weeks training a new guy at the bar and he quit after his first solo Friday
Trained this kid Marcus for almost a month at the spot on 5th Street, showed him the register, the pour counts, how to cut off the regulars without a fight. His first solo Friday he gets slammed at 9pm, two guys start yelling about a tab, and he just walks out the back door mid shift. Now I'm covering his shifts plus mine and the owner keeps saying we'll find someone soon. How do you even prep someone for that first rush without scaring them off before they start?
