Ever notice how one small comment can make you see a whole system is broken? Like when a neighbor casually mentions they can't sleep past 7am because of garbage trucks, and you realize the whole pickup schedule screws over a bunch of people. That client's offhand remark probably showed you a flaw you just learned to live with. It's wild how we need someone from the outside to point out the obvious stuff we're totally blind to.

Totally get that with building codes sometimes. A homeowner pointed out how a rule meant to stop leaks actually traps water in a different spot. You just follow the book for years until someone shows you the puddle it makes.
