Tried waking up at 5:30 AM for a month to get ahead on my laundry folding routine...

I figured I'd beat the morning rush and fold everything before 7 AM at my place in Austin. Instead, I ended up re-folding the same pile three times because I kept nodding off on the couch. Learned that my brain just doesn't work at that hour no matter how quiet the house is. Has anyone else tried shifting their chores to weird times and had it backfire on them?

Why do we keep buying into this "discipline equals success" hustle culture when half the time our bodies just don't cooperate with the schedule we're pushing on them?

Read something the other day about how our bodies run on cycles, not clocks. Like cortisol levels peak naturally in the morning for some people but not everyone. My girlfriend works night shifts and her "discipline" schedule looks completely different from mine, both of us healthy. Feel like hustle culture just ignores basic biology. Bodies need rest, need recovery, need to sync with their own rhythms not some Instagram guru's morning routine.
