Unpopular opinion: My old way of folding laundry was a total waste of time

For years, I'd fold everything into neat rectangles and stack them in the drawer. Last month, I switched to rolling my t-shirts and jeans, like I saw a friend do. I can now fit about 30% more in the same drawer and find what I need in seconds without messing up the whole stack. The difference is just how much mental energy it saves me on a boring Tuesday night. Anyone else have a simple routine change that actually worked?

Honestly, you tried the roll method for socks? I gave up matching them years ago and just toss them all in a bin. Saves me so much time.

My folding system is just shoving things into drawers. I call it the "wrinkle lottery" because you never know what you'll pull out. Your rolling method sounds like it has a much better payout.

My friend tried the sock bin system for a while. She ended up wearing one navy dress sock and one bright orange athletic sock to a big meeting. The roll method might take a minute, but at least you avoid that kind of surprise. Her story convinced me to keep pairing them up.
