Update: I hit my 100th straight day of walking the same park loop at 6am
I started walking the loop at Miller Park back in March just to get out of the house before work, and this morning I did lap number 100. What got me was noticing the same group of old guys playing chess at the picnic table near the east gate, and one of them finally waved me over today and said they've been watching me pass by for months. I told them I was just trying to keep it going, and he said they do the same three mornings a week no matter what. Turns out a routine is easier when strangers start expecting you, and now I'm wondering if I should actually sit down for a game with them. Anyone else have a spot where showing up over and over turned into something you look forward to?
