Waited at the DMV 3 hours on a Tuesday because my brother said mornings are dead
My brother swore up and down that Tuesday mornings at the DMV in Bakersfield are a ghost town, so I showed up at 8am with my paperwork for a title transfer and sat in a folding chair until 11:15. Turns out the whole system crashed at 7:45 and nobody had been called yet, so the line wrapped around the building twice while I watched a guy eat an entire bag of sunflower seeds next to me. My brother has never once done a DMV run himself, he's just repeating stuff he heard from a coworker in 2019. Anyone got a day and time that actually works, or is this just how it goes everywhere now?
My wife dragged me to the Fresno DMV on a Wednesday around 1pm last month and we were out in 40 minutes, which shocked me because I always figured afternoons were a zoo. The catch is you gotta check the wait times on their site before you go, since that 7:45 crash thing can happen any day. So yeah, I used to swear by early mornings too, but that theory is dead.
