Cold peanut butter on toast beat hot for me, here's why

Always spread peanut butter right out of the fridge. Thought it was too hard, tore the bread. Then my buddy at a cookout in Austin said try it anyway. The cold chunk melts slower, so you get these thick pockets of flavor. Tried it on plain white toast three mornings straight. Now I'm hooked. Anyone else eat it cold or am I the weird one?

Ha! Okay, you officially have me questioning my whole breakfast life right now. I always thought cold peanut butter was just a tragedy waiting to happen on bread, but the way you explained the "thick pockets" thing actually kinda makes sense. My toast always gets soggy with the warm stuff, so maybe I’ve been doing it wrong this whole time. I’m not gonna lie, I might have to try this tomorrow just to see if you’re crazy or a genius. If it ruins my morning, I’m coming back here to yell at you, lol. But honestly, the cold chunk melting slower sounds like a solid texture win. Fine, you win this round, fridge peanut butter.
