Gas station hot dog with coleslaw and hot sauce, weird but it works

Stopped at a Love's in Amarillo last Tuesday on a road trip and saw a guy pile chili, coleslaw, and hot sauce on a gas station hot dog. I copied him and that combo actually killed, the cold slaw cuts the chili heat and the bun held up fine. Anyone else got a roadside stop combo they swear by?

Might be a Texas thing but that sounds like a mess waiting to happen. Cold slaw on a hot dog is a hard no for me, it just makes the whole thing soggy before you even get to the chili. I tried something similar at a Buc-ee's once with their brisket and slaw and the bun fell apart in my hands after two bites. Hot sauce I get, but the slaw is where you lost me. You do you though, if the bun held up in Amarillo then maybe they're built different out there.
