Thought peanut butter and sriracha was disgusting until my cousin dared me at a cookout in Dallas
So my cousin Marcus pulled out a jar of peanut butter and a bottle of sriracha at his backyard cookout in Dallas two weekends ago and started mixing them in a little bowl like it was no big deal. I almost walked away because who does that to a good spoon of Jif, right? He spread it on a plain hamburger bun and handed it to me and I stood there holding it like it was a science experiment gone wrong. First bite I got the sweet, then about three seconds later the heat kicked in and somehow the peanut butter made the burn feel creamy instead of painful. I ate the whole thing and then made a second one and now I keep a bottle of sriracha on the counter next to my peanut butter at home. It sounds gross but the combo works kind of like satay sauce if you squint. Now I'm wondering what else I have been wrong about, has anyone tried this on a hot dog or is that going too far?
