Caught a tip from an old timer about creosote buildup I never thought of
Last Tuesday I was helping a guy on his roof in Springfield and he mentioned that he always runs a dryer sheet through his chimney brush before cleaning. Said the static helps pull off the sticky creosote that just smears around otherwise. I tried it on my next job and honestly the third sweep came out way cleaner than usual. Has anyone else tried something like this or got a weird hack that actually works?

Burned a dryer sheet in my fire pit once just to see what would happen. The whole neighborhood smelled like fresh laundry for two days.
