I finally stopped trusting that rotary brush attachment

Tbh, I was skeptical about hand rods for years, always used the rotary on a long flex. Then last month I got a call back on a job in Cleveland where the customer said soot was falling into their firebox again. I pulled my camera up and found a partial clog the rotary just polished right over. Hand rods found it in 10 minutes. Has anyone else had that moment where the old school method beat the expensive tool?
