Serious question, found out 25% of house fires start in the chimney and most folks never get a sweep
Was reading a NFPA report on a slow day last week and one number stopped me cold. Roughly a quarter of home heating fires trace back to chimneys that were never cleaned or were cleaned wrong. That means a lot of the calls we get are people who waited years, not months. I pulled up a job from Falls Church where the flue was packed solid with creosote glaze two inches deep. How are you all getting homeowners to book yearly instead of waiting for a smell or a stain?
