TIL letting the brush spin too fast makes way more dust

Used to run my rotary brush at full speed on every job. After a cleanup in a dark living room last month I realized I was just spraying soot everywhere. Has anyone else slowed their RPM down and noticed a difference?

Dropped my speed down to about half and it made a huge difference on my last clean up job. The dust cloud went from looking like a fog machine to barely any visible particles floating around. Slower definitely works better for keeping the mess contained.

That reminds me of when I tried using a leaf blower to dry my car after a wash once. Thought it would be faster than a towel but ended up spraying water and dirt all over the neighbor's yard. They were not happy about it. So yeah, sometimes going slower or using the right tool for the job makes all the difference. I guess we all learn that the hard way sometimes.

Guess reese_nelson figured out what took me a backyard full of dust to learn. Leaves me feeling like a real genius for not slowing down sooner.
