Bathroom reno in Indy hit a plumbing wall for 5 days

I took on a small bathroom remodel here in Indianapolis and figured the old cast iron drain would be easy to swap out. Turned out the pipe had a bellied section hidden behind the wall that took my plumber and me 5 days just to locate and fix. Anyone else burn way more time on a hidden pipe issue than the actual finish work?

Yep, that sounds about right. Old cast iron loves to hide its worst secrets behind the drywall. Nothing like a 5-day detour for something that looks like a half-day job going in. At least you found it before it turned into a bigger mess. Good reminder that the pretty stuff is the easy part.
