Just hit 200 square feet of tile on my own bathroom remodel
Everyone told me to hire a pro for tiling because it's too tricky for a DIYer. I figured I'd try it anyway on a small guest bath just to see. That was six months ago, and I just finished the last wall in my master shower. Turns out, a laser level, a decent wet saw, and taking your time beats rushing with a pro crew. I saved around $3,200 doing it myself, and the grout lines are straighter than half the houses I've seen. Has anyone else found that a specific trade skill is actually easier to teach yourself than people claim?
