Hit 14 open jobs on my board and had to turn down a $9,500 deck because I booked too fast

I keep a whiteboard by the door with every active job written on it, and Friday morning I counted 14 lines. That number sounds great until you realize two of them are punch list stuff I promised to finish weeks ago, and the deck guy in Beaverton wanted to start in 10 days. I told him no, and it stung, since that was a full week of work for two guys. Problem is I said yes to everything in March when things were slow and now I am the bottleneck on half of it. How many jobs do you all keep going before you stop taking new ones?
