I finally admit that expensive paint has actually saved me money
I used to buy the cheap $20 gallon stuff from Home Depot for my jobs around Austin. Thought the Benjamin Moore guys were just upcharging because they could. Then I did a repaint for a client in Westlake last year and she insisted on the good stuff. Idk what it is but it covered in one coat vs three and I had zero callbacks. On the other hand I still think expensive caulk is a total scam. Is it just the paint or are there other materials you guys think are actually worth the premium?

Saw a tiktok from some contractor who said the same thing about expensive paint but totally agreed on caulk being a ripoff. Said the real savings was how much time you save on labor when you don't have to do multiple coats.
