TIL the $40 harbor freight tile snapper beat the $400 wet saw on my 60 sq ft bathroom job
I laughed at my buddy when he pulled out that cheap blue tile snapper for the Hall Street bathroom job, I had a $400 wet saw sitting in the truck and figured he was just being lazy. Turned out on 12x24 porcelain the snapper was faster, cleaner on straight cuts, and I didn't have to drag a hose and worry about water everywhere. I still used the wet saw for the L cuts around the toilet flange, but I did 80 percent of that floor in under 3 hours. Now I'm wondering if I've been hauling that wet saw around for nothing on simple jobs. Any of you running a snapper as your main tool on basic floors or am I gonna regret ditching the saw?
