Can we talk about the guy who wanted a full refund because his pizza was round?

Last month at Tony's Pizzeria in Springfield, a customer named Mark ordered a large pepperoni. When I brought it out, he pointed at it and said, 'The menu picture shows a triangle slice, but this whole thing is a circle. I want my money back.' I tried to explain that's how we cut it, but he insisted the shape was false advertising. He stood there for 15 minutes until the manager gave him a $20 gift card just to leave. What's the weirdest reason someone has asked for a refund from you?

Oh man, that story takes the cake. It reminds me of a time I saw a lady at a hardware store try to return a bag of concrete mix because it was "too dusty." She opened it right there at the returns desk, pointed at the dry powder, and said it was a faulty product. The clerk just stared, then slowly said, "Ma'am, you have to add water to it." She wasn't having it, wanted a full refund for the mess. Some people just live in a different world.

Did she think it was supposed to come pre-mixed? That's a new level of not reading the bag. What did she even think concrete was?

Honestly, I feel a little bad for her. We all have moments where we miss the obvious instructions. Maybe she was stressed or in a hurry. The clerk could have just shown her how to mix a small bit to prove it works, instead of making her feel silly. A little patience goes a long way.
