Should we tell the customer they're wrong or just let them walk away happy" is a false choice in my experience. People act like you have to pick one or the other, but really it's about how you say it. I notice this pattern everywhere now, like when someone at a restaurant insists their steak is well done when it's clearly medium. You can either call them out or just nod and move on, but there's always a third option where you make them feel heard while gently steering them right. Most people just want to feel respected, not to be proven wrong.
