Diner customer asked me to microwave a salad last night
I work at a breakfast joint in downtown Portland and this lady came in at 10pm, ordered a side salad, then handed it back saying it was too cold. She wanted me to nuke it for 30 seconds, which I did, and then she complained it was wilted. Has anyone else dealt with people asking for food prep that totally defeats the purpose?

Used to judge people for stuff like this but honestly microwaved salad sounds alright now.

Pulled the salad out of the microwave and just handed it back to her with a straight face. Told her the next step is blending it into a smoothie if she wants room temperature greens. She actually looked like she was considering it for a second. Some people just want to see the world burn, one wilted lettuce leaf at a time.
