Had a customer try to return a half-eaten bag of birdseed yesterday
Lady came in mad because the finches at her feeder wouldn't touch this premium mix. She'd already scooped out about 3 cups and wanted a full refund. I explained we can't take back opened food products, especially birdseed that could have pests. She stood there for 10 minutes arguing about the return policy before the manager just gave her store credit to get her out. Anyone else have people try to return clearly used items like it's normal?

Yeah @nathan492 nailed it. People forget common sense isn't common anymore.

Man that's rough but honestly store credit was the right call. Tell them next time to test a small bag before committing to the big one, saves everyone the headache.
