Had a lady scream at me over a 50 cent coupon at the grocery store last week
I used to think coupon arguments were no big deal, but this woman blocked my lane for 15 minutes because her discount didn't stack right. It changed my mind about working customer service at a busy store in Atlanta. Anyone else have a coupon meltdown stick with you?

You say it's about being "stressed out and broke," but I wonder if that lets people off the hook too easy. Plenty of folks are broke and don't scream at a cashier over 50 cents. At some point, it's a choice to lose your cool and make a scene in a crowded store. Maybe the cashier's paycheck is just as tight, but they still have to smile and take it. Is a coupon really the hill anyone should die on?

Coupon rage is always about something bigger. People are stressed out and broke and a cash register becomes the place they finally snap.
