My boss insisted the customer's 8 page return was totally fine last Tuesday

My boss made me take back a laptop that was clearly dropped and covered in food. He said the customer is always right and just do it. So I gave the guy $650 back. Then two days later the same dude shows up with a TV that has a bullet hole through the screen. My manager finally admitted he should have let me say no the first time. Anyone else have a boss who just gives in to every crazy return?

That bullet hole return is next level crazy. Did your manager finally learn their lesson or are they still letting people walk all over the store?

And I swear this is a true story, my friend had almost the same thing happen at her store last month. Some guy brought back a pair of work boots that were totally shot - soles hanging off, covered in mud, looked like he'd worn them for two years straight. She told me the manager actually refunded him because the customer said they "just didn't feel right" after a few weeks. I mean come on, @johnson.faith, you know how it goes - some managers would rather give away the whole store than deal with a 5 minute argument. Her manager still hasn't learned either, last week someone returned a half eaten bag of chips saying they were stale.
