Shoutout to the guy at my register who taught me the difference between a soft no and a hard no
Had a lady at my register in Dayton last Tuesday demand a refund on a $7.99 candle she clearly used, and my manager told me to just give it to her. Next day a guy comes in with the same thing and I said no, and he just shrugged and left. Turns out the difference is whether they ask or tell. If they ask, you say no and they walk. If they tell, you call a manager. Saved me probably 20 minutes of arguing since then. Anyone else figure out which customers are actually worth pushing back on?
