That $8 coupon app made me the hero of a customer meltdown

Some lady was screaming at my register because her total came to $67 and she swore the app said $59. I pulled up my phone, punched in her code, and it actually took $8 off. She went from red-faced to hugging me in about ten seconds. Has anyone else had a coupon app actually save a shift, or is that just my lucky week?

Fumbled for my phone so fast I almost dropped it in a customer's bag of chips, and somehow my thumb hit the right code on the first try. The universe must've felt sorry for me after all those times I couldn't get the stupid thing to load. Honestly, my win rate with those apps is like 50/50, so I assume the coupon gods just picked me as their designated hero that day.
