The guy who tried to return a half-eaten rotisserie chicken at my grocery store
So I worked at a grocery store in Boise for about two years and this one still cracks me up. This guy comes up to my register with a rotisserie chicken that's basically just bones and a little bit of skin left, and he wants a full refund because it was "too salty". I'm standing there holding the container and there's maybe two bites worth of meat left in it. He starts telling me how he's a chef and he knows what quality tastes like, which is funny because he ate almost the whole thing. My manager came over and the guy got louder, saying we owed him $7.99 plus gas money for his trip to the store. We ended up giving him a new chicken just to get him out of the line because people were staring. To this day I wonder what that chicken did to deserve such a dramatic ending. Has anyone else dealt with someone trying to return food they clearly already enjoyed?
