TIL the old cash register beat our new tablet POS for refunds
At the diner on 6th street, a lady brought back a half-eaten pie claiming it was sour. The new tablet froze twice during the refund, but the 1987 register next to it handled it in 30 seconds flat. Anyone else wish they could keep the clunky old gear for the simple stuff?

Man, this hits home! We keep swapping out stuff that just works for fancy tech that needs Wi-Fi and updates before it can do a basic task, like those smart fridges that crash more than my old one ever did. Simple beats clever way more often than people want to admit.
