Took me three shifts to figure out why orders kept getting messed up

I work at a busy diner off I-94 and last week we had a new cashier who kept entering the specials wrong no matter how many times I showed her. It turned out she was dyslexic with the number pad and swapping 3 for 8 on the menu codes. Has anyone else dealt with a system glitch or person issue that took way longer than it should have to spot?

Did you ever hear about that study where they found number dyslexia is way more common than people think? It totally makes sense why it took three shifts to catch that one. Was she okay with switching to a different task after you figured it out?

Wait, did you read that same article I saw about how number dyslexia affects like 5% of people or something? I mean it makes total sense why that would slip through the cracks for a few shifts.
