The roof leak I ignored for three weeks cost me $12,000
I put off fixing a small drip in the back warehouse at my building on Gratiot. Then the ceiling caved in during a storm last Tuesday and it ruined two units of inventory. Anyone else deal with water damage that snowballed way too fast?

Honestly, the whole "I'll deal with it later" thing is such a trap. You think a little drip is no big deal, but it's really just the universe testing you. Tbh, that's how everything goes wrong in life-small things you brush off turn into massive disasters. Ngl, I bet half the people reading this just remembered something small they've been ignoring too. It's like we all have to learn the hard way that a tiny problem today is a huge one tomorrow.

Used to be the other way around for me, always jumping on stuff right away... but @kelly_craig you got me thinking, maybe taking a step back isn't always the worst thing, so thanks for that.

My drip turned into a whole new floor and ceiling last month.
