Honestly, why is every Airbnb kitchen missing a decent knife?

Tbh, I just moved into my third place this month and the knife situation is laughable. Ngl, I tried chopping veggies with what feels like a butter knife and it took forever. Honestly, how am I supposed to cook when I can't even slice a tomato properly? I ended up ordering takeout again, which blows my budget. Remembering my kitchen back home with all my tools makes me sad. This constant adaptation is wearing me out. I just want to make a simple stir-fry without a struggle.

Consider how often hosts actually use their own kitchens before listing them. I stayed in one where the knife block was full but every blade was dull from misuse. Do you think they just grab whatever's cheapest at the store and don't test it?

Things are often bought for looks, not for function.
