Hostel hopping was better than coworking spaces for me in Medellin
Ngl, everyone raves about coworking spaces but I got more done sitting in a hostel lobby in El Poblado with a $2 coffee. Switched after 3 months of overpaying for quiet rooms that felt like a library. Has anyone else felt coworking spaces are overhyped for real creativity?

yeah i totally get that. coworking spaces feel like they're designed for people who need total silence but somehow also want to look busy. the whole vibe is weird, like everyone's pretending to be in a library but also lowkey showing off their setup. hostel lobbies are way messier but there's actual energy in them. you can overhear random conversations that spark something, or just zone out and stare at people passing by. that's where real ideas come from, not some sterile room with ergonomic chairs and $8 smoothies. plus the coffee is way cheaper and nobody cares if you take up a table for three hours.
